The President of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, Mr. Alaa Omar Al-Ali, received the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea to Syria, Mr. Gyu-Sik Jun, at the Federation’s headquarters today. The two sides discussed ways to develop bilateral cooperation in the fields of investment and the economy, enhance partnerships between the public and private sectors in the two countries, and the importance of organizing joint economic forums that bring together businessmen from both countries.
During the meeting, the head of the federation stressed the importance of expanding trade and industrial cooperation between Syria and South Korea, emphasizing Syria’s need for leading Korean companies in the reconstruction phase, given their advanced technical and industrial expertise that can contribute to the advancement of infrastructure and productive sectors.
For his part, the South Korean ambassador expressed his country’s interest in strengthening economic relations with Syria, stressing the readiness of Korean companies to consider investment opportunities and participate in development and reconstruction projects.
